about
In response to such dark feelings of heavenly forgiveness that is Aveinu Malkeinu, comes 'Hallel' - songs of praise to the heavens above - and a reaction of positivity and pure optimism in the face and of (and despite of) so much wrong doing in the world by mankind. The songs are self explanatory, and the two tunes within the 'Hallel' medley are 'Odecha' and 'Malecha Hayam' which are old traditional songs that the band spice up in a more Jazzy contemporary way and have a lot of fun with.
lyrics
English:
I will praise you because you answer me this day
I shall praise thee, for thou hast answered me
and thou shalt be my salvation.
The rock the builders rejected became the cornerstone.
This is G-d's doing, it is marvellous in our eyes.
This is the day that G-d created
we shall rejoice and be glad today.
Please G-d save us
Please G-d give us success
Why do you flee, O sea, Jordan why do you turn back, Mountains why do you leap like sheep, hills like lambs.
Hebrew:
Odecha Ki Anitani
Odecha ki aniteni
vetihi li liy'shua.
Even ma'asu habonim haytah lerosh pinah.
Me'et hashem/adonai haytah zot hi niflet be'eineinu
